Review: Magic Wand Plus

This review is more like a love letter. Because I love this vibrator. I really, really love it. The Magic Wand Plus has just become my new favorite vibrator. I do not say this lightly!

Firstly, I love that the Magic Wand Plus is a plug in Wand. I have way too many chargers that are always getting lost and I hate waiting for vibrators to charge. Especially if they lost their charge in storage. With a plug in, you’re always at full power, and you just plug in and go. Yes, the cord is short but you can always get an extension cord.

There are four speeds on the Magic Wand Plus, something for everyone. The first speed is a low, gentle rumble and the fourth speed is buzz your bits to oblivion strong. And there are speeds in between, which is my preference. I like to start slow sometimes and gradually increase speed, so this is delightful.

The buttons on the Magic Wand Plus are easy to see, simple to use. There is a button to turn on the vibrations, a button to increase the speed, another button to decrease the speed. Very intuitive. I did not need to consult the manual to figure out how to turn it on. Huzzah! I wish all vibrators had such good buttons. I know it seems like a minor thing but it really drives me bananas to have to cycle through a million speeds/patterns to go back to my previous setting.

As a fat person with short arms and a belly to reach around, I had no problems with the ergonomics of the Magic Wand Plus. It was a little heavy for my wrists which have been flaring up particularly badly lately, but it was still pretty comfortable to use.

The vibrations of the Magic Wand Plus, oh my! They are very rumbly, at every speed. Using this toy is an intense experience. I was shaking and on the verge of orgasm for the entire time I used it the first time. Vibratex used the same reliable motor in the Magic Wand Plus, and it’s ever familiar, like a hug. It’s just as strong as the Magic Wand Original, no question.

The head of the Magic Wand Plus is where the real upgrade is, besides the additional speeds. It’s made of a slightly squishy silicone, and it feels amazing against my vulva (I’m sure it’d also be great against a penis). This head will not turn yellow like the Magic Wand Original does, and it’s not porous so you don’t have to worry about giving yourself a yeast or urinary tract infection.

My only complaint is minor for me, as I don’t need to be discreet. The Magic Wand Plus is a loud toy on the higher speeds. I don’t know if you could hear it though a closed door, but it’s absolutely audible if you’re in the same room.

At just $74.95 the Magic Wand Plus is really well priced, definitely the best and strongest Wand for under $100. Whether it’s your first vibrator or your 100th, I think you’ll enjoy this one a lot.
